Function
As our new web designer you will integrate our existing graphic team. You’ll mainly work as member of a project team and participate from the user requirements phase of new web applications on. You understand the needs of our clients and translate those into an impressive graphical layout of the interface through sketching and prototyping methods. You take care of the usability aspects of the elaborated interface in terms of information structure, presentation and design.
You translate proposed web site design concepts into HTML / CSS web pages including images and Flash animations. Those will be used for dynamic translation and technical integration by our web application developers. Further you are responsible for quality control of the user interface of the developed application in terms of usability, graphical consistency and coherency.
Your profile
- A degree in Design and / or in Informatics (minimum Bachelor degree)
- Highly creative to produces refreshing, innovative and original graphical web design
- A technical expertise in:
- Extensive knowledge of technologies – HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks
- Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, ...
- Extensive knowledge of W3C standards
- Assets:
- Working experience with .NET framework
- Knowledge of html 5, css 3 and media queries
- Knowlegde of jquery
- Knowledge of Flash/Actionscript, Silverlight
- Strong interest in marketing, communication and commerce through Internet
- Focus on usability concepts and methodologies
- Knowledge of current web standards
- Following newest web design trends
