Baltimore Aircoil Balticare website

Baltimore Aircoil is a worldwide manufacturer of evaporative cooling and ice thermal storage products which cool processes and building with minimal water and  energy consumption.

BAC Balticare is a Baltimore Aircoil sister company offering a complete range of products and aftermarket services related to these products; installation, water treatment, maintenance and repair.

The European Headquarters of both Balticare and Baltimore Aircoil is located in the Belgian production plant in Heist-op-den-Berg and employs 400 people.

Baltimore Aircoil (BAC) had plans to renew its European website  and at the same time, to set up a website for its sister company Balticare. BAC has put Uniway in charge of these projects. In a first phase, Uniway has redesigned and redeveloped the  Balticare website. In a next phase, the renewal of the Baltimore Aircoil corporate website will be addressed. Both sites will be implemented in the open source content management system Drupal.

The objective of the new Balticare website is to  create a better awareness of the BAC product and services offering on the market as well as amongst the BAC customers. In addition, the site had made it easier to establish a contact with the  Balticare offices, because they are grouped per region on the website.

Both sites will be centrally managed at the European headquarters. Marketing staff members will even be able to autonomously update the sites via the backoffice of the Drupal CMS (see higher).    
Since the site addresses an international audience, the content will first be written in English and subsequently translated into other European languages and into Russian. This  process is supported by a specific Translation Manager functionality with custom workflows and export functionality to XML for the content being translated by external translation agencies.
