Java Developer (ref: jd10)

Function

In the role of Java developer at Uniway you will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of various web applications. Projects include pure custom development in Java as well as complex sites (with a high visibility) around web content management systems (WCMS) such as Jahia or Magnolia. You’ll work in team alongside other passionate Java enthusiasts dedicated to delivering high quality results.

Your main accountabilities will include:

• Contribute in the design and outlining of Java sites & web applications
• Deliver superb Java web applications
• Develop Java  based sites that exceed all customers’ expectations
• Add value to the sales cycle by giving input to your commercial colleagues (presales)
• Add constantly to the Java competency within Uniway
• Train customers and users
  

Profile

• Higher education in IT (minimum Bachelor level)
• A broad interest in developing sites and web applications
• At least 3 years of experience in Java web development
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of:
  • Spring
  • JPA
  • EJB3
  • JSF
  •  GWT
  • Swing
• Knowledge of JCR and LDAP will be considered as aces up your sleeve
• Fluent in Dutch with a good command of French and English
• Open to explore, assess and use new technologies
• Capable of working autonomously but equally efficient in team
